January 30 from 2020 - 13: 37

For months now we have been dragging the controversy of the coastal train, which today is not even in sight, about where the hypothetical station should be located in the Marina Alta. While some towns in the region fight for it to be installed outside of Dénia, next to the Shopping Center in theory, in Dénia and La Safor is voted to make it reach the county capital.

Gerard Fullana, deputy of Compromís In the province of Alicante, he has announced the position that his party, the most punctuated by these discrepancies between municipalities, in view of the steps to be followed to achieve its objectives.

Fullana recognizes that each municipality has the freedom to seek its benefit and submit claims, but that once Promotion is pronounced and decides where the station will be located, each municipality must walk hand in hand in favor of the decision. He claims that it is not "crazy" none of the proposals, since all have their share of reason. But underline that "Nor is it crazy that citizens ask me to arrive in a city like Dénia", where the majority of services are found (hospital, courts, future rail connection to Alicante and the maritime connection with the Balearic Islands).

That is why, on a personal basis, he considers that the ideal would be to ask for two stations, one of them in Dénia whose route generates the least possible environmental impact.

The spokesperson for the training in Dénia, Rafa Carrió, He has also pronounced assuring that he does not give up the Dénia station. However, they have also admitted that, although the project is underway, it is not a priority for the central government.
