This past weekend, on October 15 and 16, the Spanish Natural Bodybuilding Championship of the AECN/ICN SPAIN federation was held at the Banda Primitive Theater in Llíria. A total of 359 participants attended the event, including a young man from Dénia, Kiko Vicens Puig.
The Dianense, 25 years old, 1,74 cm tall and 69,1 kg in weight, debuted for the first time in a natural bodybuilding championship and managed to win the first prize. With only 1 year and 3 months of preparation, Vicens was proclaimed Champion of Spain in the category Men's Fitness. A new category and with which you had the opportunity to participate at the national level for the first time. In this competition, muscular size (without excess), definition, elegance and V-line are valued. A total of 20 competitors participated in this category.
Kiko debuted with the MVP TEAM competition team led by personal trainer and dietitian Vicent Pons from Gata de Gorgos. According to his coach, "it was one of the toughest categories in the entire Championship with a very high level where every detail counted, and we knew how to translate all the advice of the coach to show ourselves in the best way. During all the comparisons Kiko did not moved from the first position, which indicates that the judges, since they saw him on stage, were clear about it, he was the best, he was the champion because they had no doubt that he had the physique and the staging that best fit in the category among all the competitors".
Now, Vicens' next goal is to qualify for the World Cup, represent Spain and try to get the Professional Card, for which he will go to the Championship in Palma del Río (Córdoba), where the ICN World Championsip is held, which in turn is the ICN World Qualifying Championship to be held in Prague on November 18-19.
