The DBC Senior Women leads the Preferred Championship

February 21 from 2023 - 09: 39

The DBC Senior Femenino took the victory of the always complicated field of Gandia (40-80), in a match corresponding to the first day of the league, postponed at the time at the request of those of Gandia. The Dianenses knew that the locals would come out on top from the first minute to try to overcome them. It was difficult to match the intensity and the game remained balanced throughout the first period.

Juan Luis Pérez ordered a pressing defense with which those of Dénia were activating at the time that the dynamics of the game began to change by making it difficult for the Valencians to raise the ball. Thus came the first clear advantage. At the break, the Dianenses dominated their rivals by nine points. But the scenario changed completely in the second twenty minutes.

Those of Dénia came out determined to break the game. They raised the intensity a lot to dominate their opponents from the defense, who saw how one possession after another escaped them without finding solutions to resume the pulse of the match.

To this defensive bet was added a great success both from the perimeter and in free throws. The almost absolute control of the rebound did the rest, shooting the score clearly and sealing the match (27-57).

UPB Gandía did not give up in the last quarter, forcing them to maintain the same tone. In this way, those from Dénia managed to finish the game with the best possible sensations, offering a great image.

Next week the two teams will meet again. This time in the Joan Fuster pavilion on the first day of the second round.

Undoubtedly, the DBC Senior Women will try to continue advancing in the competition and maintain the status of unbeaten team for another week so far this season.
