03 July 2020 - 08: 23

The Consell d'Infància i Adolescència (CLIA) has transferred the topics of interest and the proposals that have worked during this school year to the Municipal Corporation.

The Consell d'Infància i Adolescència, a consultative and participative body made up of 26 students from the 5th and 6th grade of elementary school in 8 educational centers in Dénia, held the dismissal session of the exercise in the Torrecremada park, with the assistance of the Mayor, Vicent Grimalt, the councilor for Inclusive Policies, Cristina Morera, the Councilor for Education and Youth, Melani Ivars, and other members of the Municipal Corporation.

In this final CLIA session, the directors explained the activities that the Board commission has carried out in the monthly meetings held since its creation at the end of last year. Sessions that started being face-to-face and that later, with the confinement, became telematic. In these activities the participants have been able to see the topics that matter most to them and to which they want to pay attention, such as the nature and health of the planet; They have verified the importance of listening to all the voices in order to know a topic and they have realized that they can act and explain themselves in such a way that the elders can understand them and that, with a friendly language, they can correct uncivil behaviors.

During the confinement they have written a letter to the schools to let the teachers know what worries them and to tell them that it is very important for them to make excursions or end-of-year parties. They have also researched autonomy and gratitude electronically and have also spent time playing online games.

After the summary of this year's activity, the Council members have read aloud, and then delivered to the mayor, the commission's requests, asking the city council to take them into account when planning actions.

In a generic way, they ask each municipal department that the actions that affect them and / or that have a special impact on children, be explained in accessible language adapted to their age.
