With the objective of "make Dénia a self-sustaining city including agricultural training programs and as a source of self-employment", the circle of Podem in Dénia met last Tuesday with the Councilor for the Environment of the city, Josep CrespoTo propose the creation of a Land Bank.
The Land Bank aims to put in land value farming skills, avoiding situations of abandonment that allow their farm.
In this sense, Crespo explained that currently take into land close look at the third institute, Torrecremada or urban land area the Hermitage of Santa Paula, and that the first step to take would be the achievement of these lands to give the kick-off to this project.
During the meeting also it agreed to include the item in the agenda of the next Consell Agrari and begin to disseminate the contents of the draft Land Bank among owners of agricultural land in the municipality.
