15 March 2021 - 09: 57

Aware of the importance of the three points at stake, as they are two direct rivals for permanence and being the last day of the first phase, CFS Mar Dénia received Salou FS with the support in the stands of a hundred fans who , complying with the 30% capacity rules, they did not stop encouraging them.

From the opening whistle, both teams set a strong rhythm in search of victory and it did not take long for the first chances to arrive. The Dianense team tried to take control of the ball, but the continuous inaccuracies forced more physical wear in fast counters and laps to defense than to control the ball. Without a clear dominator in the game, the break was reached with the result of 0-0.

The second half began the same, with too many turnovers that little by little undermined the confidence of the Dianenses players, causing a not very encouraging nervousness. In the 24th minute, after a loss of the ball in attack, Salou launched a quick counter and made it 0-1. On the next play, a new failed pass was intercepted by an opponent and from an outside shot he scored the 0-2.

The game was complicated and, although a minute later Curro made the 1-2 after raising the ball over the goalkeeper, the players of Javi Arnau they did not finish settling on the track and were loaded with fouls. In the 27th minute, the referee team expelled Edu Romany after two consecutive fouls, both punished with yellow cards, leaving the locals at a disadvantage for two minutes. Two minutes that, locked in their area, they managed to keep a clean sheet.

The game was totally out of control and anything could happen, especially when in minute 31, after a foul on the edge of the visiting area, Juanjo scored making it 2-2 on the scoreboard. Eight minutes remained and the score had been equalized. Both teams had their options, but the Dianense team with the slab of the five fouls was forced to reduce the pressure on defense, and as a result of this, in the 35th minute after an intermission on the wing, it was 2-3.

Mar Dénia took risks and put the goalkeeper player on the court, but this time, and although he enjoyed good chances, he failed to score and the match ended with the final result of 2-3.

Now, once the first phase is finished and with a league break for a week, it's time to start preparing the next matches against the six teams in group 3A and fight for a not easy permanence, given that of the 12 teams in fight there will be seven who lose the category.
