06 2020 April - 16: 27

Mayor, Vicent GrimaltAnd the Councilor for Education, Melani Ivars, have held two meetings this morning, by telematic means, with the management teams of the primary and secondary schools to inquire about how the course is developing in the current situation of confinement and to make the resources of the school available to the schools and institutes. council to resolve any incident.

In this sense, especially from the secondary area, it has been requested that some means be studied to send the students the materials (books and notes) that were left at the ticket offices of the centers when the face-to-face classes were suspended. The municipal representatives have summoned the directors for a next meeting on Tuesday, when the conditions of the extension, for another 15 days, of the state of alarm are known; then it will be possible to know if it is possible the controlled face-to-face collection of the materials by the students or some member of the family. Otherwise, either the Local Police or Civil Protection will support the centers to send their books to each student.

Likewise, the mayor and councilor, responding to the request of the primary schools, have asked for a list of the students who need school assignments to be sent home, until the telematic connection is finished (the Ministry of Education will soon reach the schools and institutes tablets for students without computer resources at home). A local police guardian agent would be in charge of making this distribution.

In addition, in case the number of tablets assigned to each center is not enough, the City Council will look for the most suitable solution because no student is left out of the system this course.
