The Mayor of Dénia, Vicent Grimalt, and the Councilor for Territory and Urban Quality, Maria Josep Ripoll, have met today with the general director of Ports, Emilio Miguel Obiol, the general director of Public Works and Transport, Roser Obrer, and the general director of Urban Planning, Vicente J. García, to discuss the management plan of the port in which he works the Generalitat with the aim of specifying the uses still pending development in the port area.
The general director of Ports has expressed his will that the development of this project be done with the participation of the city council, in line with the statements made last week in Dénia by the Minister of Territorial Policy, Public Works and Mobility, Arcadi Spain .
On the other hand, Maria Josep Ripoll has advanced that the idea of the consistory is that the uses are "public and always in line with the city, avoiding creating situations of competition with local economic activity".
During the meeting, it has also been agreed to work together to expedite the study of the improvement of access to the port and the development of the northern round.
