The Dénia City Council delays the creation of the new residence for the elderly

19 December 2022 - 11: 49

The long-awaited new residence for the elderly in Dénia will be more difficult than expected. Still without specifications, the City Council has had to delay the start of the works until 2024, when they were originally going to start in 2023.

During the extraordinary plenary session that took place on Monday morning, Maria Josep Ripoll, Councilor for Town Planning, has announced this delay that will suffer one of the most anticipated projects in the city. The new residence, which will also function as a Day Center, will not begin construction until 2024. This is due, as the councilor explained, to the fact that they have decided to prioritize other of the many projects that they have embarked on in recent months (University campus, Glorieta, Marqués de Campo park...). This has prevented them from finishing the specifications on time, as planned, but they point out that it is "quite advanced" and that they expect it to see the light of day in early 2023.

Between 2024 and 2025, the work on the new Dénia residence is expected to be completed, which will be located on Apolo street. It will have four floors and 80 rooms. There will be 140 places for residents and 20 for users of the Day Center. The project will have a budget of 10.036.485,32, subsidized by the Pla Convivint of the Generalitat.

When and how can I join the waiting list for the residency?

Leider wieder mal typisch für diesen Bürgermeister. Torrecremsdo wo dann Auswärtige studieren ist wichtiger als etwas für die einheimischen zu machen.
