The City Council of Dénia registers 143 requests for COVID aid for companies and freelancers

05 October 2020 - 10: 28

Last Friday the deadline to request financial aid for companies and self-employed in the sectors of commerce, hospitality, tourism and other activities that the Dénia Town Hall has established to alleviate the consequences of the health crisis ended. A total of 143 applications have been submitted.

The aid will consist of the discount in the payment of the garbage collection and occupation of public road fees paid by the establishments. As established in the bases, the applicant person or entity must be aware of the fulfillment of their tax obligations with the City Council of Dénia, the State Tax Administration Agency and with the General Treasury of Social Security.

Likewise, it must not have open disciplinary proceedings due to the lack of an activity license or occupation of the public highway without administrative authorization, among other cases.

To determine the amount of the aid, the amount to be paid in the financial year 2020 of the Urban Solid Waste rate and the rate for occupation of the public thoroughfare with tables and chairs will be taken as a reference.

In the case of the Urban Solid Waste rate, the amount of the aid may reach a maximum of 50% of the amount to be paid by the applicant for the 2020 financial year, once the minimum ineligible of 125 euros has been discounted.

The bonuses in the payment of the public road occupancy rate could reach 100% depending on the workforce that each applicant company has maintained.
