05 March 2021 - 09: 53

Mayor, Vicent Grimalt, has signed this week the decree to modify the bases and the call for direct aid Parenthesis for self-employed and micro-enterprises of up to 10 workers from Dénia, La Xara and Jesús Pobre, which opens the door to the participation of a greater number of beneficiaries .

On the one hand, the requirement that applicants have to be up-to-date in complying with tax obligations and with Social Security is abolished. This change is based on an informative note published by the General Directorate of Local Administration dated March 2, which indicates that the municipalities "They have the possibility of exonerating potential beneficiaries of Plan Resistir aid, which includes the Paréntesis aid, from this requirement".

Thus, considering "The reasons of public interest" that they have the aid, justified in the need to adopt urgent support measures to reinforce the sectors seriously affected in their economy and to try to avoid a further deterioration of the business fabric of Dénia, la Xara and Jesús Pobre, while helping to the preservation of the occupation, the city council has decided to make use of this possibility and exempt the applicants from the requirement, eliminating it from the bases.

Likewise, the first point of the bases has also been modified with the aim of being able to help all the activities that are carried out in the municipality of Dénia, and it is established that those companies that have the fiscal, social or the activity in Dénia, la Xara or Jesús Pobre.

Finally, in order not to harm potential beneficiaries with these modifications, the decree extends the deadline for submitting applications until March 24, 2021.

It should be remembered that the global amount of the Paréntesis aids for Dénia is 2.290.020 euros, which will be provided between the Generalitat Valenciana (62,5%), the Diputación de Alicante (22,5%) and the City Council of Dénia , which will contribute 15% of the total, that is, 343.503 euros.

In the distribution of the aid, a maximum of 2.000 euros per self-employed person or micro-company and an additional amount of 200 euros will be granted for each worker affiliated with Social Security on December 31, 2020.

The presentation of applications will be carried out exclusively electronically, through the electronic headquarters of the Dénia City Council (https://oac.denia.es).
