After 19:00 p.m. a vegetation fire was declared in the dry marsh at kilometer 10 of the highway from Marines. The wind that was blowing propitiates its extension very quickly and soon a column of smoke becomes visible at a distance. Two air assets of the Generalitat and a small plane and a helicopter with a helicopter transported unit of Forest Firefighters have been mobilized to smother the flames.
The fire burns vegetation on a site and declares an emergency situation 1 of the PEIF (Special Forest Fires Plan), mainly due to the proximity of homes, according to the Fire Department.
To extinguish the flames, two land units and two fire engines and three fire crews have also been mobilized, who have come from both the Dénia and Benissa fire stations. At 20:20 p.m. the fire has been considered controlled and at 30:XNUMX p.m. the aerial means have been withdrawn. The fire is still active and the crews continue with the extinction work from the ground.
