Dénia stopped a painter for stealing 2.000 euros in jewelry in the house where he worked

Agents of the National Police have arrested in Deéia a painter accused of allegedly stealing close to 2.000 euros in jewelry from the house where he was working.

The events happened in the city of Dénia. A woman decided to renovate her bathroom, taking advantage of the fact that she was going to be absent for a few days. On his return, the reform was already finished, but he found his bedroom and the closet where he had his hidden gems totally disheveled, discovering that he lacked numerous jewels.

When she contacted the person in charge of the reform, she was informed that the last person to leave the house was the painter. Practiced various investigative efforts, agents found out that part of the stolen jewelry had been sold in a jewelry store in the city.

The agents identified the person who had sold the jewels in the jewelry store, turning out to be the painter, so they established a device oriented to their location and detention for an alleged crime of theft.

Subsequently, the agents recovered part of the jewelry that was stolen from the victim, whose value was approximately 700 euros, but not all of them whose value amounted to 2.000 euros.

Since the rest of the jewels have not yet been located, the researchers continue with the investigation to locate them.
