The Civil Guard has arrested in Calp a man of Spanish nationality, of 27 years of age, as presumed author of a crime of sexual assault and another of robbery with violence of a mobile phone, committed last Monday.
Agents of the Investigation Area of the Guardia Civil de Calp have been in charge of investigating an alleged crime of sexual assault and subsequent robbery of a mobile phone, to a young woman from that locality.
The events occurred last 22 day of April, Monday of Easter, when a girl who walked down an avenue noticed how a man followed her. Suddenly, the individual pounced on her, grabbed her by the neck and threw her against the wall as he groped her.
The young girl, only 19 years old, began to scream for help, while trying to call emergency with her phone, but the assailant snatched her cell phone and fled.
Another woman who passed through the area, witnessed how this individual ran and left in a vehicle. Despite the immediacy with which everything happened, the witness was able to provide part of the registration of the car, the physical description and clothing of the man.
The Civil Guard, together with the Local Police of Calp, after assisting the victim who was under a panic attack, coordinated in a search device of the aggressor. That same day, they located a vehicle whose registration plates matched the data provided by the witness, parked in a dirt parking lot.
Throughout the week, the investigators of the meritorious one have been carrying out surveillance, inquiries and gates until they have managed to locate and arrest the alleged perpetrator of the sexual assault and the theft of the mobile phone. Last Friday, the detainee was brought to justice and released on charges.
Although the case is closed, the agents continue to take steps in case the detainee is involved in other similar and unreported events.
