Agents of the National Police have detained in Dénia a young man of 30 years and Romanian nationality, accused of committing two crimes of robbery with force in a few hours.
The intervention took place during the early hours of Wednesday. A patrol was carrying out work to prevent crime, when the agents observed the glass of the window of a fully fractured telephony establishment and the sound alarm of the same one turned on.
The agents quickly checked the interior of the establishment and gave the warning to the rest of the police indications to locate the alleged perpetrators.
While several patrols were trying to locate the alleged perpetrator, a call to the 091 Operative Room of a citizen indicated to the agents that they had witnessed what happened, providing the characteristics of the alleged author and direction of flight.
The information provided by the witness immensely facilitated the work of the agents, managing to locate a few minutes later the presumed author, who had a recent wound on his right hand, probably due to the breakage of the glass in the establishment.
The agents verified that inside the establishment there was a block of concrete used to separate the metal fences from the public thoroughfare, suspecting the policemen that it could have been the object with which it was helped to fracture the glass. They also found a canvas bag with which presumably would pick up the stolen effects of the interior.
After inspecting the interior of the establishment, the agents found that there was a closed area with a metal door, which also had several damages, the alleged perpetrator being unable to fracture it.
After his arrest, agents discovered among their belongings a mobile phone that had been stolen a few days before in a telephone store in Valencia with a similar modus operandi.
Another robbery with the same modus operandi
A few hours after the arrest, the agents received a complaint from the manager of another telephone company, in which he claimed to have suffered a theft at dawn in one of his commercial establishments.
The agents reviewed the images collected in the security cameras of the establishment, verifying that it was the same person who had carried out the previous robbery and with the same modus operandi.
The thief hid under his vehicle a concrete block with which he would later break the showcase of the establishment to access and try to subtract as many value effects as he could find.
In the register practiced in his home, the agents intervened another mobile phone that was stolen from a telephony shop in Valencia, where the alleged authors stole 11.000 euros.
The detainee, accused of committing two crimes of robbery with force, will be placed today at the disposal of the Court of Instruction of Guardia de Dénia.
