For a few days there has been no movement in the works on Sagunt Street. These were intended to install new underground containers, tendered by the Dénia City Council, but are currently completely paralyzed.
What happened? The council has wanted to clarify why it is in this situation through its social networks. According to the City Council, after the final award, the company has not complied with the contractual conditions. Apparently, the type of container chosen was not the one required in the specifications, which should be the same or very similar to those already used in other similar interventions in the city. In addition, they criticize the lack of assumption of possible contingencies that was stipulated, due to the appearance, in this case, of water in the first excavations due to the water table in the area.
"The breach by the successful bidder must now conclude with the termination of the contract, already in process, and the subsequent tender, again, of the project," says the council, apologizing in the publication for the inconvenience: "We are very sorry for the inconvenience and we work to streamline all the administrative steps necessary to complete the works as much as possible ”.
