They dismantle in Dénia a crop with 1.377 marijuana plants

National Police agents have arrested a person of about 35 years of age in Dénia, for an alleged crime of drug trafficking and fraud of electricity.

Agents belonging to the Judicial Police Brigade of the Local Police Station of Dénia began an investigation into a house dedicated to the “indoor” cultivation of marijuana, as a result of a communication received from the electricity company that reported the high electricity consumption it had the House.

During the various surveillance carried out around the house, the investigators perceived a strong smell of marijuana from the outside and observed several air conditioning machines that operated 24 hours a day, despite the fact that there was little movement of people inside and The blinds of the house were always down, all this coupled with the high energy consumption of the house, made the agents suspect that there was an important marijuana plantation inside.

Continuing with the investigations, the agents took steps to find out the identity of the alleged perpetrator and be able to determine his participation in the events, turning out to be the resident of the house, for which the investigators established a surveillance device to proceed with his arrest.

Once the alleged perpetrator was arrested, a search was made of the house in which 1377 large marijuana plants located in the basement of the house were intervened, managing to dismantle a large-scale "indoor cultivation" system, whose infrastructure had with innovative techniques for growing cannabis composed of automatic irrigation systems, halogen lamps, refrigeration systems and transformers that were fraudulently connected to the electrical network.

The detainee was charged with an alleged crime of drug trafficking and fraud of electricity, being placed at the disposal of the Investigating Court of Guard of the town of Dénia.
