Dénia will once again host the Food City Design master's degree in 2022

The four Creative Cities of Gastronomy of the UNESCO network that have organized this year the first European master's degree on urban food, have already convened a second edition for the year 2022. The cities of Parma (Italy), Bergen (Norway), Östersund (Sweden) and Dénia repeat the collaboration with the reference universities of each of them -in the case of Dénia, the University of Alicante-, which have been involved in the contribution of teachers and coordination of content.

The course aims to training of experts in the management of urban regeneration projects capable of recovering territories and urban areas by improving cultural assets and identities related to the agri-food sector. It is about training professionals capable of promoting food culture in cities as a stimulus for sustainable urban development.

This second edition of the Food City Design master's degree includes student stays in the driving cities to do one of the required research works and that may be about their territory, gastronomy or aspects of the local agri-food system. Dénia will host the students who choose to study around related themes in the city.

The master's degree is fully funded by the University of Parma and the Emilia-Romanya region and tuition is free. Its duration will be one year and it will assign 60 ECTS credits. The registration period is now open and ends on December 6.

Classes will be taught by specialized teachers from the University of Parma (Italy), University of Bergen (Norway), Midweden University (Sweden) and the University of Alicante and Gasterra, which represents the area of ​​Dénia.
