The full council of Dénia to be held on Thursday March 30 approve the request for the Official Language School (EOI) offering courses in Spanish for foreigners. This proposal, put to the Council by the Association for Foreign Residents SeniorennetzwerkIt has already been transferred to the Consell as a formal request by Councilman Education.
This meeting, held on March 13, was attended by all the political parties with representation in the Dénia town hall, with the exception of the Party and Citizens.
In the full this month, the council Óscar Mengual will request the support of the political groups to this request and submit its agreement to the Directorate General for Language Policy and Multilingualism Management of the Ministry of Education, Research, Culture and Sports.
At the moment the proposal has the support of the councilors of Podemos, Antonio Losada and Alexander Rodenkirchen. The latter states that "It is an integrating measure, of coexistence, linguistic exchange and cultural promotion that would be beneficial for all citizens, taking into account that residents of foreign origin account for around 30% of the population of the Marina Alta".
