Dénia is committed to the 'Sweeping the Seas' initiative

07 October 2024 - 09: 45

This Sunday Dénia was involved in the marine clean-up initiative 'Barriendo Mares'. The event aimed to combat pollution on the coast through clean-up activities both on the coast and on the seabed and with the use of boats.

The event was a success in terms of participation, as a multitude of people of all ages collaborated to improve the sea in the town.

Bravo!! They should do more like this

  2. Diego says:

I see a lot of people and little garbage collected, only advertising and posturing

  3. Mon says:

I think it's a great initiative! When will there be a "street sweeping" initiative?

  4. Alf says:

A good initiative, but it would not be a bad idea to put waste bins on the beaches, create more areas for them, and put rubbish bins at the exits of the beach accesses, in a suitable format and size. For example, the ones at the entrance to Raset are small and are overflowing in summer, if the waste is left outside there is a risk that the wind and the tide will carry it out to sea.
The best way to keep the sea clean is by not throwing away waste and debris.
    But, good initiative.

The garbage that one generates, one takes it home.
There are no containers going to be placed at the top of Montgó because the young ladies and gentlemen do not want to carry their waste in their backpacks.
