Dénia is beautiful to welcome Christmas with the 'Nit de la Llum'

17 December 2018 - 12: 13

La Nit de la Llum has become, in recent years, the starting gun for the Christmas in Dénia. A fact that was confirmed last Saturday, December 15, with thousands of people enjoying the commercial offer of the city when the sun disappeared.

At that moment, the 7.000 candles lit up the streets of the center of Dénia and the lights of squares, such as the Town Hall or the Consell, were turned off, creating a magic and Christmas atmosphere.

In addition to the candlelight, the Christmas atmosphere was achieved thanks to the Christmas carols that dotted the center of the city until late at night, in charge of the flamenco club Miguel Poveda, the Association of Fathers and Mothers of the Marist school (APAMAR), Al-Manchara and the Colla del Cànter. The Original Dixieland Sedajazz quintet and the Nina Dinamita & La Swing Milicia group also performed.

Special mention deserves the Municipal Market, which opened its doors to the 23: 00 hours and managed to gather hundreds of people both in the street Magallanes and in the interior of the complex, decorated with great pleasure for the occasion.

In this way, Dénia opened the doors of Christmas with the night of shopping that merchants and neighbors look forward to year after year.
