Dénia is included among the populations with a curfew as of next week

22 July 2021 - 11: 03

The President of the Generalitat Valenciana, Ximo Puig, accompanied by the Minister of Health, Ana Barceló, has announced, after holding the meeting of the Interdepartmental Table, the new measures that come into force, in the Valencian Community, from next Monday, July 26 and until 16 of August.

Puig has indicated that the curfew is being extended to more municipalities, specifically, 77 municipalities of the Community will have night mobility prohibited between 1 and 6 in the morning, if it obtains the endorsement of the Superior Court of Justice to be able to apply it now which is a measure that affects fundamental rights.

This expansion is due to the increase in coronavirus infections, including 6 towns in the Marina Alta including Denia. The other populations are Calp, Teulada-Moraira, Ondara, Pego and Gata de Gorgos.

The situation of extreme risk of contagion in which the Marina Alta region is found has led some of its municipalities to be included in the curfew extension list, since until now, no locality had this restriction.

Likewise, the Valencian government maintains the limitation in social gatherings to a maximum of 10 people, both in public and in private. In addition, the capacity is modified by reducing to 50% indoors in shows, sports competitions with a maximum of 1.500 people and recreational pools. The schedule for these events is also determined until 00:30 hours.

Ximo Puig has urged citizens to wear the mask also outdoors and has called for prudence and cooperation to strictly comply with the quarantine and isolation periods, as well as to inform all contacts in case of contagion. .
