The debt contracted with suppliers of the City of Dénia, once the 2017 year is over, is 1.498.180,69 euros. This has been moved by the councilor of Finance, Paco Roselló, in the informative commission that took place this morning.
In the second quarter of 2015, the debt of the municipal coffers exceeded 5 million euros, being reduced to the current 1,4, and the average period of payment to suppliers has gone from 44,75 days to only 11,70.
Roselló has moved that the intention of his team is to bring the full municipal budget of February, which has highlighted an initial game of 200.000 euros in the investment chapter that will be used to implement the actions proposed and decided by the neighbors of the city in the participatory process that has taken place in recent months.
Regarding the chapter of current expenses, Roselló has stressed that it is being adjusted to face the payment of urban decisions. Finally, the 2018 budgets will continue to reflect the savings measures initiated in the legislature, with special emphasis on energy saving measures in public lighting.
It is very important to indicate also that it is a crime to ask for services that you know you can not pay in advance. Look for you in the penal code. The City Councils are not exempt from this nor do they have any type of immunity to avoid responding to possible crimes, frauds, etc. that they can commit.
What work finished paid work here does not work right? If they can not pay their suppliers it is for two reasons. Error in the management of public money and by requesting services beyond their means. The two lead us to the same conclusion. At least they are inept.
