Dénia receives 23000 euros to implement actions of the State Pact against gender violence

The City of Dénia will receive a state aid of 23.527,31 euros to implement actions of the State Pact against gender violence during the 2019.

As explained by the councilor for equality and diversity, Javier Scotto, these grants are a transfer from the state to the municipalities for the development of the State Pact in the field of gender violence through actions such as the development of awareness campaigns and prevention of any form of violence against women, the creation and improvement of Support Units at the local level, strengthen municipal care and information services for victims of gender-based violence or carry out actions aimed at specialized training in equality between men and women.

In the case of the help that the City of Dénia will receive, the Department of Equality will launch educational, informational, training programs and campaigns to combat gender violence in Dénia, Xara and Jesús Pobre.
