Dénia proposes to celebrate Carnival only in schools to avoid contagion

January 28 from 2022 - 12: 06

The Department of Festivals of the Dénia City Council has proposed that the boys and girls of the town do not stay this year without celebrating the Carnival, but this yes, with the best conditions to guarantee a safe celebration and avoid contagion.

In this way, it has prepared a proposal that it has sent this week to the schools of Dénia, offering them to take the Carnival to the centers so that the boys and girls can enjoy the party safely, taking into account the current health situation that makes it unfeasible to celebrate it in the streets, as is tradition.

The council makes entertainment groups available to schools that will go to schools during the week of February 21 to 25, organizing a Carnival parade through the courtyard, with music and balloons, and a rhythm workshop or mini-batucada in in which the boys and girls will learn in a playful way the technique to use the percussion sticks in the maculelé dance and the little ones will use their hands. At the end, a choreographed song will be performed together.

The activity will be carried out in steps of 30 minutes per class, so that the bubble groups are maintained, and it is aimed at the infant and primary stages.

The centers have until February 4 to inform the council if they wish to carry out the activity. From the confirmations, the calendar of this alternative Carnival will be organized.
