The city of Dénia has obtained this year a total of four blue flags for their beaches. Specifically, the Association for Environmental and Consumer Education (Adeac), the Spanish section of the European Federation for Environmental Education, recognized the beaches of Marines, Bovetes, Molins y Punta del Raset.
These four beaches were already awarded in 2016, although in 2017 the blue flag that was obtained for the beach of Les Rotes for the first time, and that this year it has not been added to the list.
Blue Flag is an international symbol and a certification system for environmental quality which is given annually. The criteria to obtain it are based on the quality of bathing water; environmental information and education; environmental and safety management and, finally, services and facilities.
Real Club Nautico city has also been awarded this year with the blue flag in the mode of marinas.
