February 07 from 2023 - 13: 27

The Department of Education has allocated a total of 221.659 euros to maintenance and improvement actions in public schools for infants, primary, special education and permanent adult education in Dénia during the year 2022.

The councilor of the area, Melani Ivars, has highlighted that "a part of these works had our priority and are those that have been carried out to adapt the centers to the needs of students with disabilities". Thus, last year an access ramp was built in a kindergarten classroom at the Montgó school; At the Cervantes school, an adapted toilet was created and the doors of the infant classrooms were changed, and at the Raquel Payá special education school, a 'white classroom' has been created, a safe and protected space where students, in moments of overstimulation , you can go relax and blow off steam.

The Department of Education has also undertaken actions to end structural problems in some buildings. This is the case of changing the roof of the dining room of the Les Vessanes school, which filtered the water; the repair of the Raquel Payá cantilever or the redirection of the rainwater from the adult permanent education center to prevent the entry of water that fell from the building when it rains.
