Dénia immortalizes the tribute to the health and deceased of the coronavirus

10 October 2020 - 11: 30

During yesterday afternoon, the Dénia City Council took advantage of the event for the Nou d'Octubre to pay tribute to those who died from the coronavirus and to the health workers who continue to fight today against the pandemic.

The emotional act took place in the Plaza de la Constitució between strong security measures to prevent infections. Representatives of all municipal political groups and numerous groups participated in it, united to value the work of health workers and, in the same way, recognize the hard individual work of each resident of Dénia to face the health crisis.

To immortalize this tribute, a sculpture was discovered that will remain in the square forever, representing a heart and that is the work of the artist Modesto Marí."It is about two silhouettes that are embraced and form a single body", presented its creator. This is accompanied by a plaque to remember the struggle that is being experienced from each house in this health crisis.

And then they all made a party together to celebrate it and they spent a pastón that they could have invested in the families affected by the Pandemic with economic problems or in the different health areas. If you want to show respect and consideration, take care of the people and stop partying and fireworks. What they did was empty and hypocritical posturing.

  2. Jose Ordovás says:

The tribute is very good, a pity that the relatives of the Dianenses who died from covid19 have not found out, nor have we been summoned to attend, even before many politicians and others wanting to appear and appear in the photos.
If a tribute is made to the victims, the minimum is to invite their closest relatives.

      How right are you José
It is clear that this government likes to be the center of attention
A tribute to the victims and health workers if relatives and without health representation… Olé
