The Dénia City Council's Department of Culture has organized various activities to commemorate International Dance Day, which is celebrated on April 29.
The program begins this Sunday, April 13, with an outdoor classical dance master class taught by Rafa Darder, a professor at the Valencia Conservatory of Dance. The class is aimed at students from Dénia's dance schools and is open to the public.
The masterclass will be held at 17:30 p.m. in Plaza del Consell. In case of rain, it will be held at 16:00 p.m. in the Social Center auditorium.
On Saturday, April 26, at 20:00 p.m., the Joven Ballet de la Marina, founded in 2024 and directed by Laura Perelló, will perform at the Social Center.
The Joven Ballet de la Marina is the first amateur dance company established in the region, enabling students of classical and contemporary dance to expand their training, experimenting and working in a manner similar to that of a professional dance company.
And, to round out the commemoration, DAMA will be held in May. A festival of street arts, movement, and action, the program of which will be sent to you later.
