Dénia bets on agricultural training with free courses

The City of Dénia, through the Department of Environment, Agriculture and Climate Change and the Office of Innovation and Creativity, promotes a Agricultural training plan that will be developed from November of 2018 until May of 2019, giving continuity to the actions in formation of the previous semesters.

The first courses, all free of charge, will be given at the Dénia House of Culture on 8, 15, 22 and 29 days in November, in the afternoon. There are limited places and registration is required prior to the email: deniaviva@ayto-denia.es.

The courses that are offered this November are Aid to the agricultural sector, Green roofs, Safety and hygiene in agricultural activity e Start of agricultural activity.

The Agricultural Training Plan is part of the Denia Action Plan & Marina Alta #Tastinglife, and it is structured in three areas: the beginning of the agrarian activity, training on agroalimentary industry and the improvement in agricultural activities.

Of the main objectives of this action, the councilor Josep Crespo emphasizes that it contributes to train farmers, as well as people interested in local agri-food products, to achieve sufficient skill to work their crops and products with the techniques of organic farming, improving biodiversity and environmental stability, as well as fertility of the soil, in order to produce food of maximum quality. In addition, this training aims to provide them with the knowledge and experience necessary to organize and manage their agri-food company, with their own, viable and future project.
