Dénia bets on Tenerife for gastronomy as the main tourist attraction

Tenerife hosts the meeting of the Association of Destinations of Saborea Spain, which takes place on 16 and 17 on September and which has the presence of 16 of the 20 destinations of the platform, including Dénia, represented by the mayor, Vicent Grimalt. During the appointment, attendees will choose their president.

During this morning, both the Minister of Agriculture of the Island Council, Francisco Parrilla, and the Minister of Agriculture of the Government of the Canary Islands, Alicia Vanoostende, held a meeting with the attendees in the House of Wine (El Sauzal).

Action plan

During the event a working forum was held in which the 10 Gala was presented. Th anniversary, which will be celebrated next October 3. In addition, the main lines of the action plan of Saborea Spain for 2019 have been presented, whose main objectives are to continue advancing in the consolidation of gastronomy as one of the main tourist attractions in Spain.

The development of new communication tools of the association; consolidate the Saborea routes and the celebration of World Tapas Day, both nationally and internationally; influence the presence of Saborea Spain in the destinations of the network with support and exchange actions; as well as incorporating sustainability as a strategic axis for improving the competitiveness of the association are other lines to be developed. In parallel, Saborea Spain will continue this year with its international promotion work through presentations and commercial actions in its priority markets.

Savor Spain, formed by the Spanish Hospitality Federation, the Spanish Association of Destinations for the Promotion of Gastronomic Tourism, the European Organization of Cooks (Euro-Toques), the Federation of Associations of Cooks and Bakers of Spain (FACYRE) and Paradores de Tourism, continues with its work to position itself as the first national platform, with an international vocation, aimed at promoting tourism and gastronomy and transforming gastronomic products into authentic tourist experiences.
