Dénia adapts bus shelters to people with functional diversity and mobility limitations

13 2022 April - 14: 17

20 bus shelters have been modified in the municipality of Dénia in order to adapt them to the needs of people with functional diversity and mobility difficulties. The action has been carried out by the hand of City, the concessionary company of urban signaling.

On the one hand, signs have been placed to indicate the space corresponding to people with mobility in wheelchairs. On the other hand, ischial benches have been installed that allow people with some mobility limitation who have difficulty sitting down and getting up from conventional benches to rest, such as the elderly, those with joint problems, pregnant women or people with functional diversity.

Councilor for Citizen Security, Javier Scotto, has pointed out that "with both interventions, Dénia City Council facilitates the mobility of all people, turns Dénia into a more accessible and friendly city and takes into account the essential value of functional diversity, of the various capacities, of the older population, people with some joint pathology and pregnant women”.

Good comment. Sorry Ann, the answer is no. He is a paripe and a very non-functional and stupid one at that. They should invest the money in conditioning the bus for people with disabilities.

Does that mean I can get on a bus with my wheel chair? Or just use the bus shelter?
