Dénia hosts 'Arrels', a forum that values ​​companies and their relationship with the territory

Within the Dénia programming Festival of the Humanities, a group of important companies from the Valencian Community will participate in this forum, on March 28, at l'Espai Lluís Vives. 'Arrels' Business Forum Commits to the Territory. It is organized by the Valencia Regional Press Association (APCV), the Generalitat Valenciana and the Dénia Creative City of Gastronomy Foundation and sponsored by Caixa Ontinyent, EnerHi and Balearia, with the collaboration of Rolser, it focuses its protagonism on those entities that Throughout their careers they have worked for the development and prosperity of the Community.

In this line, the president of the APCV, Santiago Sanchís, stresses that the objective pursued with this forum is "to value the companies and the involvement they have with the territories where they are located, the social commitment towards the area and its people". In the same way, he points out that it is a factor that is shared by both the companies that participate and the local and regional media. “Companies can articulate their discourse of social commitment thanks to the fact that the media that serve their regions can convey these messages to the public opinion of the Community. We are dynamic agents and in the forum we will underline the role that print newspapers have, never better said”. Thus, Sanchis emphasizes the differential factor that some regions have, such as "being lucky enough to have their own means of communication."

The forum will begin at 10:30 am by Pere Rostoll, General Director of Information Relations of the Generalitat Valenciana; Santiago Sanchis, president of the APCV; Benito Mestre Caudeli, president of the Business Circle of the Marina Alta (CEDMA); and Lydia del Canto, ESG director of Baleària. Likewise, it will be made up of three round tables where "companies and communication companies" will establish dialogue and reflection to publicize their work and their respective commitments.

In the first one, 'Family businesses and territorial communication companies', at 10:45 am, Alejandro Escrivà, director of the Family Business Chair of the University of Valencia, and Ferran Belda, director of Levante-EMV during the years 1987-1988 and 2008-2013, and which led to its territorial expansion through the regional delegations. It will be moderated by Mariví Pardo, director of Portada.info (Villena).

At 11:35 am it will be the turn of the second table, 'El compromises both the territory. On this occasion, the companies that will participate in the dialogue will be Caixa Ontinyent, as the only savings bank in the Valencian Community; EnerHi, a clean and sustainable energy company; and Balearia, a shipping company that is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. In addition, the director of El Nostre (Alcoi), Luis Peidro, will be in charge of moderating it. As pointed out by the director of the APCV, Santiago Sanchis, at this table the three companies will be able to show their commitments with their territories and their different models to reach society.

Finally, the third table, 'Perdurability and fidelity of a business project', at 12:30 p.m., will be moderated by Juanjo Clemente, director of Revista Poble (Villarreal), and, as its name indicates, the companies that participate , Rolser, Aquaclean Group and Unión Alcoyana, all of them over a century old, will become an example of how to maintain this commitment to the territory over time.

The forum will conclude with the intervention of the Minister of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Commerce and Labor, Rafael Climent, who will award the recognitions to the leading companies.
