The 5 best rock or stone beaches in Dénia

28 September 2022 - 10: 46

Of the 20 kilometers of coastline that Dénia has, most of it is covered with sand. However, there are several sections made up of beaches of rocks or stones, ideal for those who want to take a bath in our coastline without having to worry about returning home full of grains of sand.

This is the list, from north to south, of Dénia's rocky beaches.

L'Almadrava

L'Almadrava beach is the only section of the north coast of the city that is not sandy. In fact, it is the only pebble beach in Dénia, originally made up of white pebble stones, although it currently has a mixture of sand and gravel. It is at kilometer eight of the highway Marines.

the Trampolí

One of the best-known beaches in Dénia and the first stretch of the coastline known as Les Rotes. Each cove and beach of Les Rotes is made of large rocks and is part of the Cap de Sant Antoni marine reserve, so the fauna and flora are very rich. The platform of El Trampolí stands out for the attraction that has given it its name all this time, a wooden springboard nailed to the rock from which to jump into the sea.

Punta Negra

One of the most beloved beaches by Dianenses, if not the most. It is a rattan cove in the center of Les Rotes, which has a huge car park a few meters away to cover the demand in the area. It is made up of a section of large rocks with a stairway to the water, and a cove of pebble stones from where it is easier to access the sea.

Les Arenetes

Les Arenetes beach is located at the end of Les Rotes, near the restaurant Mena. It is a section that cannot be accessed by car during the summer season, so you must leave your vehicle in the public car park and get there on the free bus. It is a relatively quiet area, where it is very common to see groups of hikers preparing kayak getaways.

La Cala (nudist beach)

The only nudist beach in Dénia is just past Les Rotes, well hidden behind Les Arenetes. Its access is difficult to see with the naked eye, as it is a staircase that goes down a cliff to the cove. However, the journey is worth it, as it is one of the most beautiful coastal corners of the city.
