August 22 from 2021 - 17: 42

The lifeguards of the Red Cross Dénia have had to save a bather after losing his pulse while swimming in the Marineta Cassiana.

According to sources from the surveillance service to this newspaper, the victim, about 68 years old, was taking a bath a few meters from the shore in an area where the depth is practically zero. The lifeguards observed the bather when he began to make strange movements, immediately floating upside down.

They have quickly thrown themselves to help the victim and take her out of the water. Once outside, when checking his condition, they noticed that he lacked a pulse, so resuscitation work began after notifying the Red Cross ambulance, which took only a couple of minutes to reach the place. Finally, a SAMU had to be activated, which arrived 20 minutes later, helping them with the cardiopulmonary maneuver until they managed to stabilize their pulse. After this, they have made the transfer to the hospital to monitor their evolution.
