Compromís it remains outside the government of the city of Dénia. The absolute majority achieved by the PSPV-PSOE de Vicent Grimalt the past 26 of May did not make necessary the presence of the valencianistas as in the previous legislature, but from the government team they were proposed to take charge of a series of delegations that have finally rejected.
This Tuesday morning, the three elected councilors, Rafa Carrió, Eva Round y Vicent Crespo, have appeared before the media to read a statement in which they have detailed the reasons for their refusal to accept the delegations proposed by the Socialists.
As explained by the spokesman, Rafa Carrió, who is also acting mayor these days -Vicent Grimalt is at a meeting of UNESCO in Italy-, since Compromis understands "that the will of the PSOE is to govern alone and they do not want to reissue the pact of the Castle". Carrió denounces that "We do not deserve to be treated the same as other groups" after the "complicity of four years of government" in those who have been "fundamental part of the transformation of Dénia".
From the socialist government has been proposed to take charge of Linguistic Normalization, Agriculture and Fisheries, Cooperation and Immigration, TAPIS, OMIC, Cemetery and Pest, all delegations subordinated to the large councils. ? Compromís considers that they are delegations "very worthy", but they think that "there has been no seriousness" and doubt they are offered "a decent budget" to take them forward in conditions.
Rafa Carrió has denounced that they feel "belittled and disappointed", since they expected "at least" one of the councils in which they have worked in recent years: Occupation, Commerce, Education, Culture, Sports or Environment.
For Valencianists, the proposal they have received from the PSPV-PSOE is "a mockery and a lack of seriousness" towards Compromís and its voters. The party, from this moment, will work from the support to the initiatives that consider the control of the topics that are put on the table.
Of course, Carrió has announced that next Saturday, the three councilors of Compromís will support the investiture of Vicent Grimalt as mayor of Dénia. To him, by the way, he was informed last night of the party's decision not to accept the delegations offered.
