The academic year has begun this week, and with it, one of the most anticipated novelties by lovers of gastronomy. Last Tuesday, the first studies of Gastronomy of university degree that will be based in Dénia were inaugurated in the Mediterranean House of the city of Alicante.
During the academic year, the city will host periods of stay and student practices. It will also be the seat of Gasterra, the gastronomic center of the Mediterranean that, with the impetus of the University of Alicante, Turisme Comunitat Valenciana and the Ajuntament de Dénia, will be launched in the coming weeks with the first rice master.
It is worth remembering that the University of Alicante has signed an agreement with the main chefs of the province to give master classes, courses and internships to students of the new university degree. Among them are the Michelin stars of the Marina Alta Quique Dacosta, Alberto Ferruz, Rafa Soler and Nazario Cano.
The Mayor of Dénia was present at the opening ceremony of the studies, Vicent Grimalt, and the general director of Rural Development and Agrarian Policy, María Teresa Cháfer.
