The Plan Confianza projects in Dénia are already taking shape. Next week two of the works most expected by the neighbors begin: the redevelopment of Colón and San Francisco streets.
On Tuesday 23 of January the works will start on Colón Street, with an estimated duration of 6 months. The first section in which it will act will be understood between the streets Diana and Cándida Carbonell. The adaptation of the central lane with printed asphalt will be carried out, the renovation of the sanitation networks, potable water, with the removal of the asbestos from the pipes, and public lighting and the implementation of the rainwater network. On the south side of the street, a loading and unloading area will be created and a battery of underground containers will be installed, while the tree-planting and the installation of urban furniture is planned on the north sidewalk.
The works will affect the road traffic and the parking of vehicles on the road. On 23 and 24 days in January, parking will be prohibited on the north side of the street and 25 and 26 in the south, although vehicle circulation will be allowed. Starting on Monday 29 in January, Colón street will be closed to traffic in the affected section, diverting the circulation of vehicles through La Vía street.
The Councilor for Territory and Urban Quality, Maria Josep Ripoll, accompanied by technicians from the department, has called an informative meeting with the residents of the street next Tuesday, January 23, at 19:XNUMX p.m., in the Portelles Building, in which they will offer the details of the action.
Works at the access to the castle
Also next week will begin the redevelopment works of Sant Francesc street, in the neighborhood of Les Roques, another of the actions funded through the PIP Plan of the Generalitat Valenciana. With a budget of 338.189,69 euros and a deadline of execution of 4 months, the works will be carried out by the company Pavasal.
On Monday 22 in January will be the collection of materials in the loading and unloading area of Avenida del Cid, where they plant the Les Roques fault, and from Tuesday 23 will prohibit the passage of vehicles through the street Sant Francesc.
