Begin the moped driver training course taught by the Local Police

This Friday began in Dénia the moped driver training course that the Local Police gives to young people from 14 to 16 every summer.

From the 21 from June to the 19 in July, 36 young people will receive theoretical training in the multipurpose classroom of the Montgó school, which will be combined with practical classes with the driving schools Vip, Guillem, Victor, Juanvi, Más Fácil, V de Victoria and Poveda, collaborators of the course.

The course, organized by the Local Education Department of the Local Police of Dénia and coordinated by agent Manuel Moreno Mas, also has the collaboration of the local Red Cross Dénia assembly, which will offer a theoretical-practical first aid session; the Provincial Association of Driving Schools of Alicante, whose representative Pedro Castells will give a session related to the withdrawal of the permit by points and the active and passive safety of the moped; Salvador Climent Olmedo, of the association of spinal cord injuries ASPAYM, who will give a special class within the awareness program; and Juan José Sala Soler, technician of the Community Prevention Unit in Addictive Behaviors of Denia (UPCCA) of the Ajuntament de Dénia, who will speak to young people about the risks and effects of alcohol, drugs, medicines and mobile phone in the driving.

The Etrasa publishing house and the DGT provide didactic material; the NZI helmets factory, in Yecla (Murcia), provides material and the helmet that is raffled among the students the day of the closing of the course and the motorcycle workshop Quirro de Dénia contributes with material for the participants and the delivery of a helmet integral and a recognition for the speakers.
