Citizens denounce that the City could be breaking the billboard ordinance

01 June 2018 - 11: 45

The group Citizens in the City of Dénia has denounced that the government team could be breaking the municipal ordinance regarding the installation of billboards.

This complaint comes to collation the complaint that a neighbor of Jalón Street expressed in the past, in which he showed his discomfort for the installation of a dozen advertising panels on the site converted into a parking lot between Avenida de Alicante and Ramón Ortega.

According to denounce from Ciudadanos, after the agreement reached with the owners of the site for the installation of these fences, the City would not comply with the municipal ordinance in this regard in its article 92.h where it literally says: "the installation of large billboards in the Casco Urbano is prohibited" and on the basis of which in August of 2013, the City Council itself began a campaign to eliminate this type of posters.

Since Citizens have also pointed beyond the "pure legal compliance" the incoherence that the "crushing of the government team to the neighbors with the alleged environmentalism and the suspension of licenses, while they have no problem allowing the installation of these signs to look for parking".

These posters can be installed in another way without bothering anyone. As simple as that. Why do everything so complicated?
