Citizens denounce "the state of abandonment" in which the ravines are found

May 19 from 2018 - 07: 56

The councilor of Citizens in Dénia, Esteban Chornet, has denounced that the ravines of the municipality of Dénia are located "in a state of abandonment" by the city government team.

Despite having moved this concern on several occasions to the council of the department, Josep Crespo, the answer has not satisfied the mayors of the orange formation. And, the person in charge of Compromis argued that the functions or competences of the City Council regarding the cleaning of ravines were not clear.

That is why Chornet has been informed about a ruling from the Supreme Court in which "it does not say that the daily work of cleaning the rivers is the responsibility of the basin organization", in this case, of the Confederation. In this regard, the Supreme Court also notes that in said decree, it is determined that actions in public channels located in urban areas "corresponds to the competent Administrations in the area of land use planning and urban planning", that is, to the town halls.

For Chornet "The government team has run out of excuses for not taking responsibility for keeping the ravines in a state of health and cleanliness".

the nicest part of denia is the Montgo area, and yet it is the most abandoned, see how are the streets without sidewalks, without lighting, and not to mention the crossing of the residence that every morning there are traffic problems for not making a street as god sends between the junction and the side of the ravine that goes down to the hotel port denia, they are only 200metros, in the end people go up and down walking down the road of santa lucia and down the street because there is no sidewalk, I hope some day to see works on the montgo
