Carles Dénia and Nova Rimaire

Carles Dénia, natural Gandia (La Safor) carries on its back a solid career as a guitarist (winning the award Cum Laude in Jazz Guitar Department of the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, Netherlands). In parallel, he has also developed his career as a flamenco singer, touring Europe and Asia.

Now, after years of meditation and slow ripening, it presents his particular approach to singing with Valencian style, with the intention to revise, reinterpret and give a new beat traditional Valencian singing, betting on a new aesthetic, away from folklore and propose updating of musical forms, but that if maintaining the essence and fundamental characteristics.

Endowed with a deep voice, full of emotion and embraced by the Nova Rimaire, consisting of a large number of high-level musicians, Carles Dénia appears as one of the most interesting proposals of Valencian folklore training.

In 2008 he published his album "So high is the lluna com" with Comboi Records, with which he won Premi Ovidi Montllor the best arrangements, awarded in Valencia in June 2009.
