On 17 Sunday in February, the 4th School Duathlon was screened for the autonomic phase of the School Games of the Valencian Community. Again, the Dianenses triathletes Hugo Martinez and Joan Puigcerver, from Tripuçol, and Gabriel Dolader, from Hurricane the Bike Run.
The event was held in San Vicente del Raspeig and the 73 triathletes of cadet category had to travel 2.500 meters on foot; 8,4 km by bike and for others 1.300 meters on foot to finish.
The first partial on foot was very fast. Even so, Joan and Gabi managed to get in the first positions of the persecuting group in bicycle achieving a good partial bike. In the last leg on foot, some muscular discomfort caused both to slow down, remaining in the 20 (Joan) and 22 (Gabi) positions.
Hugo, on the other hand, made a good race but did not manage to get in the pursuit squad and finished in the 69 position. The next appointment will be the March 9 in Elda.
