Children's library

Children and adolescents have literature classified by age and adapted tables and chairs. In the reading room itself they make the card to the little ones.

In the newspaper archive you can consult the daily press and several magazine titles. This room is located on the ground floor, to the left of the entrance hall.

WiFi network

WiFi network is available for free. It also has computers for free Internet consultation and quick catalog consultation.

Facilities

The library has an entire building, with more than 2000 m2 to serve.

On the ground floor the reception is located, and as we have said, the space for press reading, the children's library and also a multi-purpose auditorium.

On the first floor there is a room with tables with connection for electronic devices.

And on the second floor there are two more rooms with reference books and reference works. There is also the area restricted to researchers belonging to the Municipal Arxiu.

There are elements of the original building that have been respected in rehabilitation, such as the central marble staircase.

The central courtyard, which gives light to all the floors, is also very characteristic.

And the turret, which houses administration offices and is generally closed to the public.

History

Dénia's first library began operating in 1956, and was in a building in the City Hall itself. In 1978, he moved to the House of Culture, where he has remained for 44 years, until his move in 2019 to the Sant Josep road building. Thanks to you and I also cannot forget the people who run the Los Pinos campsite are beautiful people who helped me in that year I was in Denía.
