Baleària has been awarded the first prize in the category 'Best practice for risk control' in the IX Edition of the Asepeyo Antoni Serra Santamans Awards, which were delivered today in an event broadcast via streaming. The shipping company has deserved the distinction for its project 'Preventive management of the COVID-19 crisis', with decisive protocols and instructions in the protection of workers and passengers against the pandemic, which highlighted the essential nature of maritime transport to supply to non-peninsular territories. Among the main measures he applied Baleària Noteworthy are the reduction in the capacity of the vessels, the temperature measurement and a specific cleaning and disinfection plan, reinforced by specific training for all employees. These measures allowed it to be the first shipping company to obtain the Global Safe Site certification in its Excellence degree last summer, granted by Bureau Veritas.
