The parking of the maritime station Baleària Port, in Dénia, will be filled next weekend of food trucks, or what is the same, vans converted into small mobile restaurants. And it is that, from Thursday 30 of May to Sunday 2 of June, Baleària Port hosts the fair Food Truck Challenge, a national competition of food trucks that combines gastronomy and outdoor music.
The event begins on Thursday at the 19: 00 hours with the official opening. From that moment, the attendees will be able to enjoy the gastronomic offer and from the 21: 30 hours will be enlivened with music. On that first day the performance will be borne by Sara Gee and the Ramblin Matt Band. This group will repeat on Friday, in vermouth time, about the 13: 30 hours.
During the second day, there will be environmental music and activities for both adults and children, something that will be repeated during the four days of the festival. After lunch, at 18: 00 hours there will be live music by Dixie Jumble Trio, which will encourage the audience with the most rhythm swing. The group Lazy Tones will be the one that will liven up the night, starting at 22: 00 hours.
The same concert schedules will be repeated on Saturday and Sunday. At the time of Saturday's aperitif, Elviset i Jornalers they will be in charge of putting the music, in the afternoon there will be a DJ and at night it will be the turn of the group JuntsD9. On Sunday, at the 13: 30 will play Gatercrash, the DJ format will be repeated in the afternoon, and at night the band will be Black Glitter.
A national challenge
In addition, with the aim of increasing the attractiveness of the event, it has been reconverted from a fair to a national competition in which food trucks participants will try to prove that they are the best food truck in Spain. The Food Truck Challenge not only is celebrated in Baleària Port, but it will do it throughout the national territory. In the different events, spread across the country, customers will be responsible for voting the best food truck and the two best of each of the fairs can participate in a grand finale.
