A few days after the end of the year, Susana Mut, spokesperson for the municipal group Ciudadanos, has made an assessment of the current political situation and the perspectives with which it faces the year 2022.
In the first place, the mayor highlights the work that Citizens have done in the Dénia City Council, "where we have collaborated and made decisive contributions to the contracting specifications, such as those of the Cleaning of public buildings, especially in the cleaning of schools, Urban Transport or in the Surveillance of Beaches, incorporating draft proposals that provide better quality to the services that the residents of Dénia will receive ”. He has also pointed out that "in future ordinances such as the Keeping of Animals, thanks to the work of our councilor Fani Schwamb, it will be seen how the useful policy of Ciudadanos is present as long as we are counted on". At that point, Susana Mut wanted to emphasize, “I hope this continues to happen, despite the fact that, on many occasions, there is no option for any negotiation, an absolute majority is applied and onward. If they count on us, surely many of their proposals will improve, and the beneficiaries will be all the citizens of Dénia. "
On the other hand, highlights the orange spokesperson, "the ability to overcome that Dianenses are showing, working and fighting to overcome this dire crisis, not only at the health level, where the numbers speak for themselves, but also economically. It only remains that, from the Government team, they step on all the streets of the municipality, not only those of the neighborhoods that are favorable to them, as they say colloquially. That they know first-hand the needs of all the neighbors. Surely with all that they invest in studies and reports, a multitude of actions could be carried out to stimulate trade, for example ”.
In assessing the negative of the year, in addition to the coronavirus crisis that still keeps citizens in suspense, Mut regrets "the lack of political weight that the government team has at the regional level. The clearest example is the refusal of the Generalitat to comply with the desire to convert the Port of Dénia into an autonomous port. A proposal approved unanimously by the political groups, which has been rejected by the members of the Botànic Government, PSPV, Compromis y Podemos. From Compromis and Podemos we are not surprised by this, but from the PSPV, yes. This shows us how little or nothing they listen to a mayor of their own party, and the little political weight of Vicent Grimalt out of Dénia ".
Looking ahead to 2022, the Municipal Group of Citizens expects that the crisis caused by the coronavirus will disappear, “at that time, Dénia must be prepared for whatever comes. Take advantage of European Funds to carry out projects entrenched in time, such as the Ancha Railway. And to get the agreed projects, such as the Theme Playground, go ahead. If we all fight together for it, it is easier for us to achieve it. Let's leave the banners in which other parties are very comfortable, and let's really work to achieve real goals and to improve our quality of life and that of those who visit us. We wish everyone a better year 2022 full of health, hope and work for everyone ”.
