The City of Denia rejects the construction of a rural hotel in Jesus Pobre

May 24 from 2017 - 09: 44

The plenary session of the City Council of Dénia on Thursday will reject a project submitted to build a rural hotel on a plot of Jesus Pobre, near the golf course. It is a hotel and leisure complex formed by a set of wooden huts and a large central swimming pool in the shape of a lake.

For its construction, the promoter company needs the City Council to approve the Declaration of Community Interest (DIC) in the area, a process that will not be approved by the plenary this Thursday. And is that, as reported from the city council, the project already arrives with unfavorable reports from the Department of Housing, Public Works and Vertebration of the Territory, and also from the own Eatim de Jesus Pobre.

The unfavorable reports must be added that the project is in protected forest land, which would, according to the report of EATIM de Jesús Pobre, seriously affect the area, so approval is even more impracticable.

From a time to here I observe with surprise, the mania of some foreigners with cutting trees alluding the selfish excuse of the views. I have seen trees sectioned and disfigured in the middle because the cup bothered them. Will it be because in their countries it is an extremely controlled activity and here they feel free to do it? Will it be the heat? Or the total lack of respect to the environment?
