Dénia commemorates the 25N by encouraging people to look at the sexist mistreatment head on in order to help the victims. The City Council today presented the program of activities that are organized in Dénia, la Xara and Jesús Pobre on the occasion of November 25, International Day against sexist violence.

This year the message of the campaign invites us to look at gender violence, asking us to dare to see it, "to see abused women, to put on those symbolic dark circles to identify sexist abuse and help the victims", has explained the Councilor for Equality and Diversity, Javier Scotto. We must not look for excuses against this scourge of our society that in Spain has claimed 1.118 fatalities from 2003 to this year, according to data from the Government Delegation against gender violence.
