Last night all of Dénia dressed in red to support the Spanish team in the Euro Cup final against England, which after a complicated match but in which Spain had everything to win, managed to win 2-1. After the end of the match, the fans came out to celebrate the achievement in the streets of the city.
In homes, bars and in the Dénia sports center, which had been set up with a large screen to watch the game, Dianenses and visitors (even foreigners) supported the team with euphoria. The sports center stands out, where hundreds of people with Spanish flags, hats, t-shirts and even flip-flops passionately experienced the match, cheering on the team in difficult moments and celebrating the goals with enthusiasm.
Upon achieving victory with that second goal, a crowd of people jumped onto the field of the sports venue to embrace each other and jump together shouting with excitement, waving their flags.
In the streets of the city, motorcycles and cars drove without avoiding the whistles to let it be known that Spain had won the Euro Cup. Passersby walked the streets with songs, flares and joy for the Spanish team, which after a long effort has won the trophy.
